Biography

An experienced senior executive for both public and private sector companies, accomplished cardiologist and entrepreneur, Dr. Litwin joined WCG in 2017 as CEO of MedAvante-ProPhase. In early 2018, he was promoted to his new role as COO of WCG’s Clinical Services Organization.

Before assuming his current role, Dr. Litwin was president of Litwin Consulting LLC and he also co-developed and launched Patient Genesis, an innovative software platform used by health care providers to create, share and transfer knowledge to patients during the informed consent process. Patient Genesis’ ConsentNowTM software was acquired by WCG Clinical Services in 2017.

An expert in electronic clinical outcome assessments and cardiac safety, Dr. Litwin’s career at ERT spanned 14 years. He served initially as ERT’s chief medical officer and executive vice president (EVP) of global operations, then as EVP of its consulting business, and lastly as president and CEO.

Previously, Dr. Litwin served as executive vice president and COO of Executive Health Examiners International, a leading provider of executive physical examinations. He was also deputy medical director of Nutri/System.

A board certified cardiologist, Dr. Litwin left his cardiology practice in 1988 to serve as director, medical affairs for Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories.

Dr. Litwin received his MD degree from Meharry Medical College and a BS from City University Medical School of New York.

He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine, and his fellowship in cardiology at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York.
