As Senior Vice President, Clinical Solutions and Strategic Partnerships, Melissa is responsible for increasing collaboration across the WCG enterprise to bring best-in-class solutions to our clients. She functions as a Subject Matter Expert for all aspects of clinical operations, providing key strategic input to clients and internal teams, heavily relying on the unique data assets available at WCG.

With more than 20 years in clinical research, Melissa translates her vast experience and mastery of clinical trial management into developing evidence-based clinical trial strategies. She is an approachable and decisive executive leader with experience in clinical, academic, and service provider settings. As a highly respected business partner, skilled communicator and facilitator, Melissa uses a strategic consultancy mindset to partner with clients.

As a veteran of the Contract Research Organization (CRO) sector, Melissa joined WCG from Syneos Health, where she was Vice President of Global Client Solutions. Melissa’s extensive career includes roles of increasing leadership responsibility in clinical operations and service delivery partnerships with clinical trial sponsors. She has held related roles in academia as a research scientist and methodologist, and in the nonprofit sector as an executive director.

Melissa holds a B.A. in Psychology from Simon Fraser University, and a M.S. degree in Health Psychology from Staffordshire University, with doctoral-level coursework in clinical epidemiology from the University of British Columbia.
