Biography

Ron heads a new operational consulting practice for WCG which is designed to help WCG’s clients execute on innovative practices. Ron joined WCG in 2019 with the acquisition of the company he founded, Waife & Associates, Inc., which for 26 years had been providing management consulting services specifically in the domain of biopharmaceutical clinical research. Its focus has been to make clinical development more efficient and productive, through improvements in organization, process and technology. The company served over two hundred clients, including biopharmaceutical research sponsors, CROs, technology vendors and investors. Services include clinical operations process improvement, information technology strategy and implementation management, service/product vendor selection and oversight, pharmacovigilance process improvement, and virtual executive management.

Mr. Waife was named to the PharmaVOICE 100 in 2008 and received The Meritorious Service Award from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) in 2006. He wrote a bimonthly column for the Clinical Researcher journal for over 20 years and also wrote a regular column on process improvement for Applied Clinical Trials. He has been a frequent contributor to industry conferences.

Mr. Waife’s previous experience includes two decades of executive positions in international public health and information technology. Mr. Waife has also been an instructor and facilitator in process improvement methods, and has co-authored several books.

Mr. Waife received his undergraduate degree in social and behavioral sciences from The Johns Hopkins University, and his master’s degree in public health from Harvard.
