WIRB-Copernicus Group Thought Leaders to Conduct Three Sessions at AAHRPP Conference
WCG Chief Compliance Officer and Vice President of Quality Management will present their viewpoints on single IRB review, international human research programs, and contract negotiation
PRINCETON, N.J., May 14, 2015 – WIRB-Copernicus Group (WCG), the world’s largest provider of regulatory and ethical review services and software to support clinical research, announced today that two of its leaders will present at the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP) Conference taking place in Chicago, IL, May 19-21, 2015.
WCG Vice President of Quality Management David Borasky, MPH, will present “International Perspective: Achieving a Robust Human Research Protection Program” on Wednesday, May 20 at 1:15 pm CST. His co-presenter will be B.I. Choe, PhD, from the Catholic University of Korea.
“Clinical research participants play an invaluable role in the development of innovative new therapies. It is imperative that their contribution is duly recognized and that appropriate safeguards are implemented to protect them,” said WCG Chief Compliance Officer David Forster, JD, MA, CIP.
On Thursday, May 21, Mr. Forster will partner with Cynthia Hahn, CIP, of Northshore-LIJ Health System to deliver “Negotiating Contracts That Protect Human Research Participants” at 9:15 am CST.
Later, Mr. Forster will present “Single IRB Review: View From the Independents,” together with Stephen Rosenfeld, MD, MBA from Quorum IRB, and Lauri Carlile, MS, CIP from Chesapeake IRB at 2:15 pm.
WCG senior staff members will be available in the AAHRPP exhibit hall to discuss the new Accelerated Clinical Trial Agreement and to share information about the company’s Global Research Network (GRN).
