The All of Us Research Program: An Interview with Dr. Martin Mendoza

About Dr. Martin Mendoza

Dr. Mendoza is Director, Health Equity for the National Institutes of Health’s All of Us Research Program, coming from the Office of Minority Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services where he served as Director of the Division of Policy and Data. 

Dr. Mendoza previously led research on minority health at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, where he authored FDA Guidance on Health Equity and supported efforts to increase diversity and inclusion in clinical research.  He served also with the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, and conducted his primary research training in the National Cancer Institute’s Pediatric Oncology Branch, and Served at the National Human Genome Research Institute where he helped map chromosome 7 as part of the Human Genome Project. 

In his role with the All of Us Research Program, Dr. Mendoza provides leadership to improve inclusion and equity in precision medicine and address health equity issues for the program
