Biosafety Analyst Lead, WCG

Biography

Amy Michaud is a Biosafety Analyst Lead at WCG IBC Services, where she works closely with sites conducting clinical trial research requiring IBC review. In this role, she is responsible for creating site-specific biosafety plans and other documentation needed for IBC review, as well as advising site staff on best biosafety practices outlined by the CDC and NIH.

Amy received her BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Connecticut (Storrs, CT) in 2012 and is a member of the American Biological Safety Association (ABSA). Prior to joining WCG in 2017, Amy worked in biochemistry and cardiovascular medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (Birmingham, AL) and the University of Louisville (Louisville, KY), where she managed grant funding, chemical and biosafety training, and conducted obesity and cardiovascular disease research using cellular and animal models.
