Participation in public testimonials, sharing personal stories and in educational workshop/conference

Participants who are currently enrolled or have completed their treatment in a research study under WCG oversight, whose status is either open or closed may volunteer to participate in sponsor or investigator hosted events to share their personal experiences. The sponsor or investigator is required to seek and document the participant’s permission or their consent. A consent form-addendum can be utilized and requires disclosure that their privacy and confidentiality may no longer be protected in the public forum. Submission to WCG and review of the consent form-addendum or an equivalent consent process is required. If a script is utilized for dissemination, sponsor or investigator should be cautious of not inadvertently promoting an investigational drug, device or any treatment modality.
